EFFECT Photonics to open facility in the US
EFFECT Photonics is pleased to announce that it is taking an exciting next step forward by opening a facility in the US. As part of the growth strategy, this is a logical next step to further deepen the commitment to customers and partners in the whole of the Americas region. At the same time, this will also allow EFFECT Photonics to better support European and Asian based customers with operations in the region.
The US-based team will be a customer focused expansion of the engineering, product testing & verification, customer support and marketing capacity to complement the European teams. In addition, the new facility will also be designed to include an application lab and demo center which will be leveraged to ensure that the current products are designed and deliver to meet the needs of the customers, and to get insights for the next generation of highly integrated, low cost optical solutions. The regional team will be better placed for quicker customer response times and to provide greater agility in supporting the pre and post sales efforts.

The facility is due to be operational in Q4 of 2021 and will be located in the greater Boston area. This is an ideal location to augment the resources EFFECT Photonics already has on the West Coast. It offers an easy bridge to Europe for time-zone management and fast, seamless collaboration. Technology is a key industry in the area, offering the opportunity to build out the team with highly skilled and experienced technical talent, as well as tapping into a pool of future talent because of the great universities and colleges. And because of the presence of the research university and a number of leading teaching hospitals, there is a long history of taking IP from labs to market, something that is core to the EFFECT Photonics philosophy.
