Building the laser platform that powers coherent telecom and AI infrastructure for the next decade.
About EFFECT Photonics
Eindhoven-born. European by design.
EFFECT Photonics started as a spin-off from Eindhoven University of Technology and has since grown into a production-ready supplier for some of the most demanding optical network programs. We are a scale-up with a hands-on engineering culture — the kind of team where the people solving the hard problems are the same people you talk to.
Our Indium Phosphide (InP) platform is based on established processes and a supply structure designed for continuity and intended to scale across product generations.

THE THESIS
A European platform for the photonics decade
The rapid growth of AI, cloud services, and data traffic is pushing conventional electrical interconnects to their limits. Coherent optical technology is becoming the most efficient way to move large volumes of data across data center, metro, and telecom networks—and high-performance (tunable) lasers are at the heart of every coherent link.
As a European leader in integrated photonics, EFFECT Photonics designs and manufactures highly integrated Indium Phosphide (InP) coherent (tunable) lasers on a common technology platform. Our solutions deliver the performance, power efficiency, and scalability needed to enable next-generation coherent transport, Data Center Interconnect (DCI), and AI networking, while providing customers with a trusted and resilient European technology partner.

01
One platform, multiple products, one roadmap
With an integrated PIC based on in-house PDK, EFFECT Photonics is well positioned to gain momentum in the photonics market world-wide.

02
Aligned with the EU + US technology agenda
A European-headquartered scale-up with an Asia-Pacific supply chain, positioned for customers and programs that need a non-restricted source of integrated photonics for coherent telecom and AI infrastructure.
Two laser assemblies. One platform.
From the 14 dBm pico ITLA to the 17dBm nano ITLA, both built on the same monolithic InP platform.

MANUFACTURING
Engineered in Europe. Manufactured for global scale.
Volume production of integrated photonics requires two things at once: a qualified European platform that proves the technology works, and an Asia-Pacific supply chain that proves it can be built at the volumes coherent telecom demands. EFFECT operates both.

Eindhoven
Headquarters
Located on the High Tech Campus Eindhoven, Europe’s most concentrated deep-tech ecosystem. Engineering, platform development, and qualified manufacturing share one building, which is how a monolithic InP process gets refined fast enough to stay ahead. This is where the platform was qualified in 2016 and where every product since has been industrialized.

Taiwan
Supply chain
Our Taiwan office puts us in the center of Asia’s semiconductor and optical components supply chain. The team here supports regional partnerships, customer programs, and manufacturing coordination across the Asia-Pacific market.
Geographically diversified by design.
A European platform protects the technology. An Asia-Pacific supply chain protects the volumes. Customers and programs that need a non-restricted source of integrated photonics get both, from one company.
