About the position

EFFECT Photonics is looking for an experienced – Senior PYTHON Developer

We are looking for a Senior Python developer to join our Product Test and Verification team. This role is central to the development of new products and a successful candidate must be able to work with system engineering, hardware, and operations teams. The ideal candidate will be someone with a strong test development/product engineering background working with optical transceivers.

Role responsibilities:

  • Lead the architecture development framework to enable automated test case execution in hardware, production and engineering test environments for optical systems.
  • Work closely with product development engineers to create test systems for evaluating and integrating new technologies, components, and functionality into product designs.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of test data management systems.

Required / Desired knowledge, skills, and abilities:

  • Must be an Expert in Python, Strong Knowledge of C#
  • Experience with the following Jira, Bit Bucket, Git
  • Background in developing automated test solutions for complex products with optical, hardware, and software interfaces
  • Knowledge of principles within Test Data Management
  • Good knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL
  • Familiarity with Agile process of Software Development is a plus
  • Ability to focus and multi-task, in a dynamic start-up environment
  • Excellent data analysis skills and strong understanding of statistical analysis principles
  • Preferred experienced with optical telecommunication standards and test methods
  • Ability to be onsite at our Maynard lab facility near Boston, Massachusetts
